CBD is an acronym for Cannabidiol, a prominent naturally occurring class of molecules called cannabinoids found in the plant genus Cannabis Sativa L. CBD comprises up to 40% of the plant and is one of over 10002 compounds found in cannabis. Of these compounds, CBD and THC are usually present in the highest concentrations, and are therefore the most recognized and studied. CBD is a non-psychoactive component of the plant that possesses a wide range of benefits. The non-psychoactive nature of CBD means that it is not known for inducing mind-altering effects like THC; making it more popular amongst non-recreation users.

Hemp flower is exactly that, the flowering anatomy of either Cannabis sativa or Cannabis Indica. The only real divergence from the way that hemp would grow in its natural environment that we use on the farm is to plant exclusively female plants. This is done by taking cuttings from superior breeding stock and planting these directly into the ground. The lack of mass pollination naturally makes the flowers richer in a number of organic compounds; most usefully, cannabinoids (CBD, CBG, etc.).

Hemp flower is better than oil simply because it’s, well… simple. Users of Apis Domum Hemp products just don’t have to worry about any of the complex chemical processes used to make CBD oil going wrong and producing toxic side-effects. Many CBD-oil producers, for instance, dissolve the organic molecules off the plant’s flowers (including CBDs) using harsh solvent mixes that can include butane, acetone, hexane, and other chemicals of varying toxicity. Apis Domum Hemp picks the flower from the field (where we not only conform to organic agricultural standards, but go a step further and conform to the more restrictive all-natural agricultural standards), grinds it up, puts it into an organic vegan capsule, and then it comes to you. No poisonous processes or any chemical modifications. Ever.

This has NO CBDs. Hemp root is the chief hemp component used in Eastern medicine, and is popular amongst practitioners of holistic, ayurvedic, traditional chinese and japanese, and naturopathic therapies. We would describe Hemp Root as a go-to for customers that are at all worried about any conventional cannabis psychoactive compound.

First, a humble reminder that any recommendation herein is not based on any kind of formal medical training, study, or pharmacological inquiry. Information and statements regarding dietary supplements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.  With that caveat out of the way,  we recommend that anyone after natural, chemical-engineering-free CBDs, go with the Full Spectrum Hemp capsules.  If you’re not sure which product to try, or are new to the use of hemp-based naturopathic remedies, we recommend starting out by trying the Full Spectrum Hemp capsules.

At the end of the day, everybody’s personal biochemistry is slightly different. We have had testimonials which indicate that some people find either root capsules or full spectrum capsules to be more effective. We encourage you to try our products to which works best for you.  If you discover that both the Full Spectrum Hemp and Hemp Root provide you with the desired result/s, our Hemp Fusion capsules are a 50/50 mixture of flower and root.

A few things set us apart. The biggest is our fundamental philosophy of simplicity from seedling to customer. Far from some vague corporate jargon, this concept affects every last action we undertake. For instance:

• We grow our hemp outdoors, not under artificial lights like many other hemp and CBD producers. This subjects the plants to all of the natural factors they evolved to thrive under within their native environment; this makes the plants far more robust, and in our high-desert Colorado environment, allows us to essentially skip the use of any pesticide, herbicide, growth hormone, or artificial fertilizers whatsoever. The product you buy is subsequently chemical free, more sustainable (we actually improve the native soil with every crop), more holistic (you get all the plant’s hard-grown goodies), and completely natural.

• We do not cook or chemically modify anything. Our plants are washed with pure Rocky Mountain spring water after harvest, dried, ground, capped and sent to you. That’s it.

There is no need for a prescription or medical card to purchase hemp CBD. Having only trace amounts of THC, our hemp CBD is non-psychoactive and legal in all 50 states. The government classifies hemp as any plant of the cannabis family that contains less than 0.3% THC. It classifies “marijuana” as any plant of the cannabis family that contains greater than 0.3% THC. All of this is covered by the federal 2018 Farm Bill, in addition to state and local regulations.

For the best shelf life store in a cool dark area, this will help to ensure there is no loss in potency. We've found that our CBD products retain usefulness for about a year if stored in a cool dry place.

Some of our products contain CBD which is a legal cannabinoid from hemp. It contains minuscule amounts of THC that could show up in a drug screen. Humble Seed cannot guarantee that you will or will not pass a drug screen due to the amount of variables. Our products contain less than 0.3%. Drug screens vary and some can be more sensitive than others.

Yes, but only at a very very low level; less than 0.3% by dry weight, which makes our products legal in all 50 states per the recent 2018 farm bill. For comparison, even mild marijuana grown in Colorado averages nearly 60 times higher THC levels than the very strongest medical hemp3.
